The new job.

Posted on April 26th, 2010 by in News

Yup, after just 8 weeks of relaxing and doing my own thing I’ve now started a new job. As of today I now work for Bizarre Creations in Liverpool!

I’m on the action team on the very cool project, heading up the mission design – primarily working on flow and pacing.  It’s a slightly different step from lead design on AvP but one that I think is going to be a great deal of fun.  Everyone I’ve met on the team is really nice, it’s early days yet but the first day has been good fun.

At long last… an easier to edit news page

Posted on April 19th, 2010 by in Site

It’s taken a while but I’ve finally sorted editing the news page so that it’s easier to update and maintain.

It’s completely different to how it was and is now powered by WordPress, yet I’ve hacked made some minor changes to the default formatting so that it fits with the style of this website.  There’s still a few issues (mainly the bar along the top of this page) and all the previous news appears to have been posted today…

Using php in this way wasn’t my original intention, but it’s happened because this is much easier and because I’ve got a new job.  I’ll post details of that once it starts next week.

22nd February 2010 – Bye Bye Rebellion

Posted on April 19th, 2010 by in News

Now Aliens Vs Predator is out I feel I can now announce that I have left Rebellion to pursue other
interests.

I’ve had a great 10 & 1/2 years working there, but with the biggest game I’ve worked on now in the shops it feels like it’s the right time to move on and see where my other interests can take me.

I wish the best of luck to the guys & girls at Rebellion, and AvP is already doing well in the charts – storming into the UK at number one (Chart-track) which is no mean feat.

I’ll keep updating this site as I carry on improving my website building skills, php comes next to make this news page easier to update.
